Welcome to the Cipango Documentation

Overview

Cipango is a SIP/HTTP Application Server. It is compliant with both SIP Servlets and HTTP Servlets standards. Its main goals are to be simple and flexible.
Cipango is based on the popular Jetty container which provides HTTP support and brings innovative AJAX features. Cipango is then particularly suited to the development of Web 2.0 and SIP convergent applications. It is also able to support any kind of SIP-only applications such as :

  •  Subscriber communications applications : presence, call forward and screening, rich-media services, conferencing, instant messaging, contact centers ...
  • Network functions : rich call control access, protocol translation, intelligent routing and logging ...

Cipango has been designed with performance in mind and is able to handle hundreds of caps on a single server. Detailed performance results will be available soon.
